A smartphone is a type of mobile phone which offers advanced computing abilities and a better connectivity compare to the high end mobile phones, and much more features compared to the regular and cheap cell phones. A smartphone is working on a platform (operating system) and it can use all sorts of applications, just like a computer. Some of the most popular operating system for smartphones are the Symbian, the RIM, the Apple, Android,  the Windows Mobile, the Linux and others. The first smart phone was made many years ago in 1992 by IBM, but the companies that are making smartphones today began a little later.

For example Nokia made its first smartphone in 1996 (the Nokia 9000), RIM made it in 2002 (the BlackBerry), Apple in 2007 (the iPhone) and so on. They are really popular these days, especially in the developed countries. For example in the United States of America, in 2010 more than 45.5 million people have a smartphone.



Besides all sorts of cool applications, you can also install all kinds of games into your smartphone. And for today we’ll discuss more about some free games for smartphones and we’ll present some from this site. Let’s begin with a random one, for example the Bubble Shooter. This is a cool game with simple rules. The objective is to explode all the bubbles before they overflow the screen. After each successful shot you will earn points, and of course your goal is to make as many points as possible. If you don’t shoot the bubbles fast enough, the will fill up the screen, and the game will be over.
