GPS Mobile Phone For Blind People

GPS Bluetooth Blinds

If you're blind, we have some great news for you. Il Village, an Italian company developed a GPS satellite application that will help you get anywhere you want. I don't know how you are reading this article, but I hope someone is reading it to you.

The main idea is that you can have two dedicated keys on your mobile, one for telling you your exact location and one for calling a 24/7 emergency call center that will localize you and give you instructions. You will hear everything with the help of a Bluetooth headset. The Italians that tested this device were very pleased with the results and said that this device made their life easier. I don't want to be mean, buut, if you're a blind person, why would you want to go wandering around all day, because there's nothing to see.

I am a grade 6 resource teacher and I have a blind student on my caseload. I would like more information on ordering this GPS navigator and blue tooth for her phone. Please send me info! I think it would help her w/ her orientation & mobility in our big school!

    Hi, Jennifer!
I have called IL Village and they told me these:
Easy Contact incorporates a few services for people with disabilities: blindness, mute people and others.
The service for blind people is called Easy Walk and its availability will start in the next week/weeks in Italy, and will continue in Spain.
The person with this kind of disability needs to have his/her own mobile phone and GPS system, but if the service will prove efficiency, then is possible that the government in each country to provide the necessary devices for free.
At this moment, they don't know when will it extend to other countries, but Europe is their priority.
