Green cell phone from NTT DoCoMo
Posted by: Maria Mihale in NTT DoCoMo
NTT DoCoMo is known all over the world as the leading mobile carrier of Japan, its role being very important in the Japanese market as far as the mobile phone world is concerned. The provider has announced a brand new device that was developed from scratch following the “eco” trend. As the name suggests, Solar Hybrid (also known as SH-08A), the handset it powered by the sun.

This new cell phone is the newest member of the STYLE series, which has the DoCoMo brand, and offers the customers two different ways to charge it up. This means you can either charge it with electricity or using the light provided by the sun. It seems that it will take you no more than 10 minutes to charge the phone for a talk time of only one minute.
The Solar Hybrid is equipped with an impressive list of features, part of them coming from the high-end side, such as a 3.0 inches main display with 16 million colors and a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and a microSDHC card slot for expandable memory of no more than 16 GB.
The phone is a creation of Sharp, the company that built it, so it’s also resistant to water. As a matter of fact, the new green cell phone is equipped with the IPX5 and IPX7 specifications. The handset is expected to start selling sometime during September, in three different colors: blue, green and white. Unfortunately, we don’t know the price right now.
