Here’s a new Palm Pre release date
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Palm
Everyone is expecting the Palm Pre quite out, because is one of the most talked about devices of the last couple of months. As far as we are concerned, we know for sure that the handset is expected to become available via Sprint sometimes during the next month (June, of course), which will be the introduction of the Palm Pre in the American market. But how about a new Palm Pre release date, this time for Australia?

Because people from all over the place would be also very happy to put their hands on the Palm Pre, here we have a piece of good news for the Australians out there: the device is rumored to be coming in their homeland sometimes in August and it will be offered by Telstra, which means the version in discussion is the GSM one.
The rumors come from Smarthouse.com.au and they say that Brett Murray, the Country Manager at Palm Australia confirmed the release of the Palm Pre via Telstra, and it’s as official as it can be. Not to mention that according to the same rumors, this time coming from someone who is inside Telstra, the mobile operator will have exclusivity on selling the device for a period of time of three months, but we don’t know if this is official or not.
As for the price, it seems that the Telstra price will be of 299 AUD (meaning $222) with a data plan or of approximately $667, if the customer isn’t willing to sign a contract agreement.
