Hop-On Wireless headquartered in Canada is producing a new mobile phone, a GPS-equipped candy bar model with touchscreen.

It has a large QVGA-type display of 2.8 inches with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, being able to render 262K colors on its TFT screen which also supports handwriting.
The built-in camera is not missing, and it has 2MP, CMOS-type, with video recording capability.

The Hop 1883 is a lightweight phone and ultra-thing in the same time, measuring just 117 x 58 x 19 mm and weighting 130 grams.
It is a (tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz) GSM phone with GPS Chipset for tracking , GPRS Class 10, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 2.0 technologies, and has also browsing (WAP 1.2).

Its internal flash memory is of 128MB but it can be extended to 32MB.
The battery has a stand-by time of up to 500 hours and the talk time ends after 8 hours.
The producer announced two color options which you can pick from: black and silver.
We don’t know yet when the Hop 1883 will be available in markets but the company specified the fact that it will be an inexpensive model.
