HTC Touch Diamond for Sale

HTC Touch Diamond is available for sale both unlocked and with a contract. Of course, if you get it unlocked you have the freedom to choose your own service provider and if you get it with contract you get it indeed cheaper, but you sign for one year or two years, pay monthly and you get some extra benefits as well.

The phone comes with some very good features, such as a nice 3D interface, gorgeous touch screen, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, a 3.2 megapixels camera and it runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. On the bad side is the lack of the expansion slot and the call quality. If you acre more about the looks and the features, and the performance level is not that important to you, then this phone is a good choice after all. When the phone was released, the price for it was high indeed, but now, with the discounts and so, you can get the unlocked version for around $199.

HTC Touch Diamond looks beautiful and from the pictures you can tell that. But there is more to it and only after you have the phone in front of you, you will really prove yourself that it is true. The smartphone has a mirrored face and the prism effect on the back. It weighs only 3.8 ounces, it has a compact design, so slipping it in your pocket will be no problem what so ever. The touch screen has 2.8”, a pixel resolution of 680x480, VGA quality and text and images look sharp and vibrant. Thanks to the orientation sensor, the phone will switch automatically from portrait to landscape when you switch the phone. Everything is fine and dandy so far, but perhaps the TouchFLO 3D interface is definitely worth mentioning. On the Home screen is a big clock, calendar and call history and on the bottom you will see a toolbar with applications, such as Web, music, e-mail, settings menu and the customizable weather page. You can move the toolbar from left to right. And in certain applications, like e-mail, music and camera you can go through them by swapping your finger with a cool 3D animated effect. This is very nice effect and it will definitely attract users, no matter what. But it will take some time until you get used to the actions, because in some occasions you won’ be able to tell which finger swipe action works with some applications.

As for adding text, you can use the on-screen keyboard and depending on your preferences you can also use the full QWERTY keyboard or the compact one. In any situations, you will have no problems as you can enter text with ease and with less misspells. One annoying thing, which is a fact in some touch screen phones, is that the keyboard tends to occupy halt of the screen, so you are left with little space to see exactly your messages or if you have some corrections to do. Moreover, below the display are some tactile controls: Home screen key, Talk/End keys, back button and the directional keypad with the center select button. All the buttons are flush to the surface, but they are easy to press. The navigation keypad is also touch sensitive, so in certain applications you can use your thumb to make circles and zoom in out pages.
