HTC Touch Pro2 available via T-Mobile USA

The HTC Touch Pro is already history, because the world is meant to evolve, especially when it comes to the one governed by technology. If some of you dare to disagree, they will end up by admitting I was right. In the worst case, if it’s not already dead and buried, it will soon be, because the successor of the device, the HTC Touch Pro2, has just been unveiled by the fourth American carrier.

T-Mobile announced the availability of the HTC Touch Pro2, which is expected to start selling in the first half of the next month. The release date is said to be August 12. It’s a little bit late, we might say, as this new model is already available in European and Asian countries.

The phone runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and is equipped with a bunch of advanced features that will certainly impress its customers, such as a 3.6 inch WVGA tilting display which is also touch sensitive, a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, a full QWERTY keyboard, 3G, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The Touch Pro2 that is going to be sold by T-Mobile USA will be available in one color and one color only. Mocha, they say. As for the price, it hasn’t been unveiled.

“This summer, many people are balancing summer vacations and time away from the office with the pressures of the workplace” said Travis Warren, Director, Product Marketing, T-Mobile USA. He further added that: “We are pleased to announce the HTC Touch Pro2, a uniquely designed device that will help customers manage their day-to-day activities, whether they are in the office or working from an airport, the local playground or the car.”

Rumors say that the other major American providers are planning to sell the device, but they haven’t made any announcement for the moment.
