Aving has published the first details about a new cool handset from LG with support for DVB-T.

LG HB620T

It has a clamshell-styled design called LG HB620T will bring mobile TV right in your hand and HSDPA connectivity for high-speed transfers of up to 7.3Mbps.



The display is not large enough, measuring just 2 inches, so you can’t say it’s a good solution for web browsing and TV if you didn’t read the specifications first.

While we are waiting for a new press release from LG with some more information about availability and price we can tell you only that the new TV-enabled cell phone doesn’t look too cool as we are always expecting from one of the leaders in handsets design.

    I BOUGHT THIS PHONE 15 DAYS BACK.AM STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO STATR THE TV. THE PHONE USES DVB-T TECHNOLOGY TO CAPTURE TV SIGNALS. NOW I AM NOT TO SURE IF INDIA AS A COUNTRY supports Mobile TV in DVB-T digital network format !!

    I BOUGHT THIS PHONE PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF ITS CLAIM OF 'PhoneBook: Practically unlimited entries and fields', BUT IT HAS ONLY 100MBS OF 'SHARED MEMORY'.THE CONTACT SETTINGS,MEMORY INFO SHOWS THE PHONEBOOK CAPACITY OF 1000 IN HANDSET &250 IN USIM ??? ALLREADY I FEEL CHEATED AS MY REQUIREMENT WAS FOR MORE THAN2500~3000 OF PHONEBOOK.
    PLUS POINT IS THE 2.0MEGAPIXELS CAMERA, IT HAS TOO GOOD CLARITY.INDEED SUPERB.
    CAN ANYBODY ADVISE ME WRT TV ??

    Doordarshan started DVB-H mobile TV broadcasting in New Delhi in a 10-kilometer range (give or take a couple) from the Akashvani Bhawan on Parliament Street, New Delhi, and you can receive as many as eight channels:

    National
    News
    Sports
    Bharati
    Urdu
    Punjabi
    Bangla
    Podhigai

    but this mobile is DVB-T enabled, so not sure if both of them are same. you can try.

    the TV in HBT620 works only at limited area at mumbai city. From Cuffe Parade in south to Ville Parle . However, the feature will not work from Sion to Mulund. Again at area where it works if you are inside any building the TV reception will not be there

    I have migrated to 3G from Cellone, in Hyderabad, India and connectivity UMTS. For 3g settings I was asked to send sms model no to 58355 accordingly I sent the message but auto settings configuration is not available to this set it appears and the operator is unable to give me manual settings. Will you please email me settings for 3G cellone south to configure manually step by step.
    The mobile has Accesspoint settings and Internet settings.
    In the internet settings I have to configure the accesspoint too. It is most pertinent to have different settings for 3G, GPRS,MMS and internet in the Access point.
