LG SU100, a touchscreen phone with Franklin Planner

You must have heard about the introduction of the brand new LG Prada 2 phone, which will be released before the end of the year, as LG Electronics and Prada Group announced. Almost identical to the highly successful original, the new LG Prada 2 device has a hidden secret: in one smooth movement the ultra-thin keyboard slides from under the handset. But after the introduction of the new Prada 2, LG has announced its 3-inch full touchscreen handset supporting Franklin Planner during KES 2008 in Korea. The device will be released under the name of LG SU100.

“The Franklin Planner is a time management system created by Hyrum W. Smith. It is marketed by the FranklinCovey company and promoted by Stephen Covey” (Wikiepdia). “Physically it consists of a ring binder holding specially designed loose leaf pages. Divided by monthly tabs between the pages and accepting a wide variety of specialized accessories and inserts, the core idea is to consolidate tasks and appointments along with personal records in one place, methodically eliminating ‘floating pieces of paper’.”
Besides the Franklin Planner the LG-SU100 features a 3 megapixel camera, 3-inches AMOLED display, a built-in electronic dictionary, S-DMB technology, e-mail and web support, Bluetooth connectivity and USB.
There isn’t yet any information about pricing and availability or about a US release, but the new LG SU100 is rumored to be released in Korea via SK Telecom sometimes this year.
