Listen to music on your cell phone!
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Nokia
When announced to the large public, Nokia 5800, part of the XpressMusic family, created the most unbelievable sensation ever, even more because of the mystery that surrounded the device up until the moment the Finnish company decided to make it public. And, to be honest, the mystery was intentionally created in order to catch the attention.

And what other great joy for a cell phone manufacturer than a product that behaves itself in the market, selling extremely well starting its very first weeks of commercialization? Well, Nokia 5800 became a genuine star in the music-centric cell phones range, as there were shipped more than one million devices. And if you don’t see anything spectacular in what I’ve said, then think about the fact that we’re talking about a mobile phone with a life that counts no more than a couple of months (being released in October 2008). This is a success, alright!
After winning over markets like the ones from Hong Kong and Moscow, “where the device sold out within hours of the sales startâ€, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic was highly expected in the United Kingdom also.
If you forgot its features, let me remind you they include: a graphic equalizer, an internal memory of 8 GB, which is able to keep more than 6000 songs, support for the most important digital music formats, a 3.5 mm jack, an integrated surround sound stereo speakers, a 3.2 inch widescreen display, 16 by 9 aspect ratio and 30 fps (frames per second) for playback and recording, a 3.2 megapixel camera equipped with Carl Zeiss lens.
“The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been received very positively and this milestone is just further proof that people all over the world want a device that is not only a great music experience, but also makes the most of touch screen technologyâ€, said Jo Harlow, vice president, Nokia.
Therefore, if you’re British and you were waiting for the device to become available in your country, your wait is over. You can now listen to music on your cell phone. On your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, which can be yours for a retail price of 249 GBP.
