Lollipop, an LG clamshell phone for young people

It was yesterday when I told you about a brand new device especially designed for children, a Samsung one, all covered with Betty Boop pictures. It seems that another similar cell phone, meaning it’s targeted at the same segment of the public, is ready to become available.

It’s just that, this time, we’re talking about an LG cell phone, the LG SV800 / KH8000 / LH8000 that was introduced in South Korea. The phone is also known as LG Lollipop and is aimed at the young customers, who are always eager to know the latest trends when it comes to the mobile phone world. The phone will be available in three different colors, including Aqua Blue, Boyish Titanium and Cutie Pink.

You can see on the LG Lollipop’s “outfit” 220 small LEDs that are able to display several patterns, from all sorts of animals, to hearts or cars. It’s true, the phone doesn’t disappoint us, as far as the design is concerned, but it’s not like it comes with something spectacular that no one had the chance to see ever before.

The new LG clamshell phone boasts a 2.8 inch TFT internal display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, CDMA and HSDPA connectivity, a 3 megapixel camera, 1.3 secondary camera which is to be used for video calls, media player and microSD card slot. The phone measures 106.5 x 51.5 x 13.4 millimeters and weighs approximately 92 grams.

The LG Lollipop is to be sold in South Korea starting this month by the most important carriers from the country, such as KTF, LG Telecom and SK Telecom, but there is no information about the availability in other countries.
