Mpingo, also called African Blackwood is a flowering plant that grows in Africa and A grade class is very expensive on the commercial timber market.
It is used in woodwind instruments, furniture, but unfortunately in is threatened in Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique by the illegal smuggling.



Gresso, a company headquartered in Russia, is the single cell phone manufacturer that uses this 200 years old special wood material to develop luxury mobile phone models.
The new version of the Avantgarde Collection – Steel was introduced three days ago to deliver all the company’s values with two special luxury phone models coming with aircraft steel keys.



Avantgarde Steel Collection keeps the Gresso unique design line but adds new level of durability, besides the Sapphire crystal glass of 42K that frames the display, a keyboard covered in titanic layer, and two model versions available: Sol Steel and Luna Steel.



The Sol Steel cell phone is the one featuring 23 aircraft steel function keys, a back panel showing the Gresso logo made of steel, and it’s made with a technology that maintains a high precision for each design detail.



On the other side, Luna Steel doesn’t come with aircraft steel keys but has the same triangle inset of steel on its front panel, as the Sol Steel, plus the Gresso steel logo.
Both luxury phones are available at 3500 Euro at the company’s retailers in Russia.
