New iris recognition technology from Oki

Some time ago we presented the NTT DoCoMo P903i, a phone that recognized its owner through a small card you had to carry with you, then Fujitsu launched its FOMA F902iS with fingerprint recognition.

Now, the Japanese from Oki developed an eye recognition technology for camera phones. This technology is set to be available for consumers in March 2007, and could increase security of payment systems used on mobile devices.
