Nokia 2608, a new device in the CDMA cell phones portofolio

This is a propitious period for Nokia, there’s no doubt about it. I have written earlier about three brand new accessories, Nokia Home Music, Nokia Internet Stick CS-10, a broadband modem, and Nokia Extra Power DC-11, an alternative source of power for your devices.

So, if you were waiting for brand new CDMA cell phones, here is another device that is has recently been announced, the Nokia 2608. The phone has a glossy exterior with a racy stripe dividing it into halves and it will be available in three colorful options. If you’re looking for functionality whenever you’re on the go and if you’re the style-conscious type of guy, then Nokia 2608 is everything you need.

As I said earlier, there are three color combinations, fuchsia with pink stripe, silver with green stripe and black with blue stripe and you can pick the one which is more suitable to your personality. But you can leave your mark on this cell phone not only through the exterior, but also by using the ringtones and wallpapers that are already preloaded on the phone or you can download new ones.

The phone is equipped with some easy-to-use functions such as quick access to the personal computer. You can do this by using the phone as a modem. There’s also a voice recorder that allows you to capture anything that you find interesting and important, and a built-in speakerphone for conference calls.

The Nokia CDMA cell phones portofolio consists of all sorts of devices, but the Nokia 2608 is the least expensive browser offered by the company, featuring, in addition, a quick-press flashlight, FM radio, a LED indicator light that lets you know when an incoming call or message is waiting for your answer. More than that, you are also given the chance to send a business card or calendar appointment via SMS.

The Nokia 2608 is expected to go on sale starting the first quarter of 2009. If you’re interested in the device, you’ll be able to find in selected CDMA markets, outside the boundaries of the United States.
