Being a touchscreen phone, Nokia 5800 does not have a conventional keyboard but, it has only three mechanical keys on the front - Call, End and Menu. By pressing the End (anywhere in the menu) you will return to the previous levels. In addition, there are three methods of text input, not just methods, but different types of keyboards.

The first one is a standard keyboard, just like on any other phone, and to activate it you must just hold the phone vertically, and the keyboard will allow you to write like any other mobile phone keypad. Next, we have the mini QWERTY keyboard, available both in "landscape" and in the "portrait" modes. Nokia 5800 will enlarge, a little bit, the button above which you are. The last one is the QWERTY keyboard; it has big buttons so you can write with both hands on the screen. As you can see the new Nokia 5800 comes with many options that will help you write more easily.
