Nokia 6085

Because in our days, a cell phone is more than an indispensable accessory, Nokia tries to offer mobile solutions for all kind of customers. For people who need a cell phone which has a nice design, good performance and a great price, the Nokia 6085 can be the best choice. Launched in September 2006, the Nokia 6085 had a starting price of $170-$200 but in our days you can buy it for only $99, depending on the market. The retail package can also vary. In the standard package, you will receive the phone plus a charger, headphones and a USB cable, but again, depending on the market, you can receive a memory card.

In terms of design, the 6085 is another classic clam-shell cell phone. It comes with a case made of resistant plastic, with a nice finish painted in some pleasant color combination. Measuring 92 x 46 x 23 mm in dimensions and 84 grams in weight, this mid-level cell phone will certainly feel very comfortable in hands. Anyway, even if the case is made of plastic, the phone looks very resistant and seems to be very practical.

When it is closed, on the front side you can see a secondary mono display with a native resolution of 96 x 68 pixels which will offer you information about the time, signal and battery level. Above the display a VGA camera without flash is placed. If you open the phone you will find a CSTN display and a classic numerical pad which is somehow ugly because the keys are made of poor quality plastic. Even so, the keys are large and flat so you can easily write your messages. This numerical pad is also very comfortable because the keys are very responsive and offer a good positive feedback. On the sides of the phone you will notice a pop-port USB (which allows you to charge the phone, attach headphones and connect it to a PC), a microSD card slot, a camera shutter and a volume rocker.

The internal CSTN display comes with a native resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and support for 256K colors, so the images will be rich in details with good quality colors and a good contrast. Like on all mid-level cell phones, this display is not so readable under direct sun light.  Above the external display, the VGA camera has proven to be a mediocre. Even so, this camera is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and record clips at a maximum resolution of 176 x 144 pixels. For storing your photos, songs and other files the Nokia 6085 comes with only 4 MB of internal memory and a microSD card slot which allows you to extend the memory up to 2 GB.

For communication, this handset comes with features like GPRS, and EDGE connectivity technologies which will offer you a great experience during surfing on the internet. Other connectivity options are the Bluetooth and USB features. The battery life of this cell phone is good. The Li-Ion 970 mAh battery is capable of keeping the unit on for 5 hours of conversations and up to 240 hours in standby mode.
