Nokia 6085h
Posted by: CameraPhonesPlaza in Nokia
Coming though AT&T, the Nokia 6085h looks almost similar with the T-Mobile’s Nokia 6086, but in reality, these two cell phones are very different. The Nokia 6085h is another mid-level mobile phone which comes equipped with many usual features, enough to satisfy the needs of a teenager. Even if it doesn’t have spectacular multimedia features, the Nokia 6085h impresses with its beautiful design, a pleasant to touch finish and a low price. Costing only $169, this cell phone comes in standard package only with standard accessories like a charger, headphones, a USB cable and some manuals.
As we said, the Nokia 6085h looks nice. It is a clamshell handset which comes with a case made of resistant plastic, nicely painted in a combination between black and silver. Measuring 92 x 46 x 23 mm in dimensions and 84 grams in weight, it has proven to be a very portable and practical phone. The case presents a rectangular shape and rounded edges feeling comfortable in your hands. When it is closed, on the external front side you will notice a 1 inch monochrome display which has a native resolution of 96 x 98 pixels. This display will offer you information about time, date, signal and battery levels and caller ID. On the sides of the phone you will find two volume buttons, a camera shutter, a microSD card slot plus the headset jack and charger / USB port.

On the interior of the phone you will find a 1.8 inch TFT display which has a native resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and support for 262K colors. This display offer good quality images with sharp colors and a good brightness. A disappointing aspect of this display is that it is not visible under direct sunlight. Below the display is placed a standard numerical pad. This numerical pad includes also some navigation buttons like two soft keys, the call and end buttons and a 5-way button. The numerical pad is composed by large and flat keys, and even if these keys are made of cheap plastic, they offer a positive feedback when they are pressed. Being very responsive, these keys will offer you a comfortable typing experience.

For multimedia capacities, the Nokia 6085h comes with a VGA camera capable of taking pictures at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. Even if this camera is poor, it is an excellent feature for a mid-level cell phone. Having a poor resolution, the photos will have a low quality and because it lacks a flash, you will not be able to take any photos in a dark environment. Anyway, this camera comes with some classic features, like white-balance, 4x digital zoom, ISO and self timer. Other multimedia features are MP3 support, FM Radio, Push-to-Talk and Voice Dial. The internal memory is low. It has only 4 MB of free space but thanks to the microSD card slot, you can extend it up to 2 GB. When it comes to connectivity, we can say that the Nokia 6085h is a Quad-Band (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) device offering an acceptable call quality with good clarity. The signal strength is amazing, so you will never be out of network area coverage. Other connectivity features which this mobile phone offers are Bluetooth and USB. The battery life of the phone is assured by a Li-Ion 970 mAh battery which keeps the phone on for 5 hours of conversations and up to 240 hours in standby mode.
