Nokia 6233

Another interesting Nokia cell phone is the Nokia 6233, a device with a classic design, made especially for the business class. If you expect to see another Nokia model armed with a lot of high-end technology, the Nokia 6233 will disappoint you. With this cell phone, Nokia manufacturer wants to show the world that a business phone doesn’t mean just power and technology. A business phone is represented by a small and practical mobile phone, which is capable to satisfy all your needs.

The truth is that the Nokia 6233 looks great.  With a case made of stainless steel, this handset looks very solid and very resistant. With 108 x 46 x 18 mm in dimensions and 110 grams in weight, the Nokia 6233 certainly is a slim and light cell phone. These values are combined with a case with rounded edges and they make the Nokia 6233 feel very comfortable in your hands and very pleasant to the touch. To keep a classic design, the Nokia 6233 comes with only three external dedicated buttons: a camera shutter and two volume keys. On the sides you will find a microSD card slot, a charger port, a headset port and a USB port.

The front side is occupied by a 2 inch display and a classic numerical pad. Even if the numerical pad has a classic aspect, it is one of the most attractive aspects of this cell phone. The keys are made of plastic and are very responsive. With good sizes and offering a positive feedback, you will love typing on these keys. We almost forgot to mention that this numerical pad includes also the menu navigation keys (two soft keys, the Call and End buttons and a D-pad key).

As we said, the Nokia 6233 is equipped with a 2.0 inch TFT display. This display has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and supports 256K colors. For such a small mobile phone, this display is excellent offering clear images with vibrant colors and a nice balance between contrast and brightness. Like all modern mobile phones, the Nokia 6233 comes with an integrated camera for taking photos. This camera has a 2 Megapixel sensor and is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. To store your images, songs or other kind of files, the Nokia 6233 has 6 MB of internal memory, which thanks to the microSD card slot can be extended up to 2 GB.

For connectivity, the Nokia 6233 brings features like Bluetooth, infrared and USB. Being a Tri-Band device, it supports GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G networks, so you will never complain about network area coverage. An interesting feature which comes with this Nokia model is the Push-to-Talk feature. Common on almost all old Nokia models, this feature is very useful, making the phone act exactly like an old Radio station. The battery which comes with this handset is quite poor. The standard Li-Pol 1100 mAh battery, even if has a big capacity, manages to keep this cell phone on for almost 3 hours and 6 minutes (3G) of conversations and up to 340 hours in standby mode. Anyway, like all Nokia models, the 6233 was a huge success when it was launched. And having a low price of $150, it is still very popular even in these days where the high-end technology is the most appreciated.
