Nokia 6600

In a period when the world seems to be overwhelmed by the size and design in all aspects of our lives, moving from very small to very "glossy", Nokia brings a phone that includes a perfect balance between a discreet look and useful features under the name Nokia 6600 slide.
The Nokia 6600 slide is really a “fashion phone”. It has a “clamshell” case made of bright steel which, besides offering a lot of resistance, it makes the phone look amazing. The Nokia 6600 slide measures 90 x 45 x 14 mm in dimensions and 110 grams in weight. Even if it is categorized like a medium phone, it feels very comfortable in your hands and fits perfectly in any pocket. The front side is occupied by a 2.2 inch TFT display, 2 buttons with double functions and a multi-functional key made of aluminum.

Above the display a secondary camera is placed for video calls. On the sides, the Nokia 6600 slide comes with a charger port, a USB port and a headset jack. Some people can be disappointed by the lack of external dedicated buttons (for example, volume keys, camera shutter or music player key), but this mobile phone was designed to have a simple and attractive aspect. “Hidden” under the display, the numerical pad makes a good impression. Even if the keys seem to be cramped, you will feel comfortable typing on them. The keys are responsive and offer a positive feedback giving you the opportunity to write messages faster.

As we said, the Nokia 6600 slide comes with a 2.2 inch TFT display which has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Supporting 16 million colors, this display will offer you great quality images with a good balance between contrast and brightness. It also comes with a unique feature for a Nokia mobile phone: Accelerometer sensor for turn-to-mute and tap-for-time. On the opposite side of the phone a 3.2 Megapixel camera is placed. This camera is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and record VGA clips at a speed of 15 fps. It doesn’t lack autofocus and LED flash so you will be able to take great quality pictures in any light conditions.

In terms of connectivity, the Nokia 6600 slide comes with a new USB communication option, named USB On-The –GO (USB-OTG). If you want to connect to the internet, this mobile phone offers GPRS, EDGE and 3G. Even if it lacks Wi-Fi, GPS or other high-end connectivity features, the Nokia 6600 slide promises to keep you in touch with your friends every time. We almost forgot about the Bluetooth. This feature will allow you to connect the phone to your PC or transfer files with other people who have a Bluetooth compatible handset. A disappointing aspect of this phone can be the internal memory: only 18 MB of free space. The memory can be extended up to 4 GB thanks to the microSD card slot. Because the Nokia 6600 slide in not a smartphone, it comes with a small capacity battery. The standard Li-Ion 1000 mAh battery manages to keep this cell phone on for almost 4 hours of conversations and up to 340 hours in standby mode. In conclusion, the Nokia 6600 slide is a mobile phone which has a perfect balance between discrete look and useful functions. With a price of $270, it is designed for all class customers.
