Nokia 7610

Another very interesting mobile phone is the Nokia 7610. Launched as the first Nokia cell phone with a megapixel resolution camera, this model impresses the world with its features and an attractive design.
The Nokia 7610, compared with other smartphones is very slim even if it’s part of mid-heavy and mid-big categories. With 109 x 53 x 19 mm in dimensions and 118 grams in weight, the Nokia 7610 is much thinner than, for example Nokia 6600 or Siemens SX1. With a “candy-bar” case made of resistant plastic with a beautiful design, this cell phone feels very comfortable in your hands and certainly fits excellent in any pocket. The case is available in two color combination: light white and dark black-red. These two color combination give an elegant and pleasant aspect to this phone.

The design is completed by a main plan with a rectangle form with rounded edges. On the front side, the Nokia 7610 hosts a TFT display and a numerical pad (including the menu navigation buttons: two soft keys, the Call and End keys, a Clear button and the traditional Menu and Messages buttons). On the sides, the Nokia 7610 doesn’t come with any multimedia buttons. It has only a Power On/off button, a charging socket and a Pop-Port connection (allows you to attach headphones or connect the phone to a PC via USB). The back side of this mobile phone hosts the camera lens. The numerical pad of this cell phone is quite disappointing. Even if the keys arrangement gives the phone a great aspect, you will have problems typing on them. Anyway, if you practice several hours on them, you will observe that the keys are very responsive and offer a great sensation when they are pressed.

The Nokia 7610 comes equipped with a 2.1 inches TFT display which has a native resolution of 176 x 208 pixels. With such a small resolution and supporting only 65K colors, this display seems to be a bad choice for Nokia. Even so, the images are clear but because the display has a small resolution, the images looks a bit pixilated. For taking photos, the Nokia 7610 comes with an integrated 1 Megapixel camera capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 1152 x 864 pixels. Lacking a LED Flash and autofocus this camera seems to be another mediocre feature of this cell phone, but considering that it is the first Nokia mobile phone which comes with a megapixel resolution camera, we can say that this camera does a great job. The pictures are clear with good quality of colors, even if you will not be able to take any photos in a poorly lit room. For storing your files, the Nokia 7610 comes with 8 MB of internal memory which can be extended up to 2 GB thanks to the RS-MMC card slot.

For connectivity, the Nokia 7610 is equipped only with the most usual features. It hosts Bluetooth and USB for custom connections and supports GPRS and GSM networks. Even if it has a poor connectivity performance, the Nokia 7610 is a Tri-Band device and ensures you that you never will run out of network area coverage. If this cell phone doesn’t make a good impression, we hope that you will be satisfied by its battery life. The standard Li-Ion 900 mAh battery is capable of keeping this cell phone on for up to 3 hours of conversations and up to 250 hours in standby mode. For a price of $140, you will get enough performance for doing your tasks.
