The most successful range of business mobile phones is certainly the Nokia E Series. The Nokia E71, one of the first cell phones of this range, was an incredible handset at its time. Being a successor of the Nokia E61, this smart phone comes with an improved aspect and an increased performance. The standard package of the phone contains an impressive amount of accessories: a charger, headphones, a microSD 2 GB card, a leather cover, a leather hand strap, a USB cable and the usual software CD and manuals.

The Nokia E71 cell phone looks great. It comes with a classic candy-bar case made of stainless steel and resistant plastic. The stainless steel material doesn’t offer only a plus of resistance. This material also makes the phone look more solid and more luxurious. Anyway, the dimensions of this smart phone are more than excellent. It measures 114 x 57 x 10 mm in dimensions and has only 127 grams in weight. With these values, the Nokia E71 cell phone looks very practical and feels very comfortable in your hands. The front side of the phone is classic for a business handset. On the top side of the phone an ambient light sensor, an ear-speaker and a secondary camera for video calls are placed. Below them, you will see a 2.6 inch display and several navigation buttons (two soft keys, a D-pad, a Home button, an Organizer button, a Phonebook key and an email button) plus the usual Call and End keys.



You will notice a full-QWERTY keyboard. This keyboard is composed by responsive keys covered in a pleasant to touch finish. These keys are easy to press and because there is a great positive feedback, you will feel very comfortable typing on them. On the left side of the phone you will find a microSD card slot, a microUSB port and an Infrared port. On the right side you will notice a 2.5 mm audio jack and two volume keys plus a voice command button. The top part of the phone presents the Power On / off button while on the bottom part only a charger port is placed.



The Nokia E71 cell phone comes with a 2.6 inch TFT display which has a native resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and support for up to 16 million colors. This display has proven to be excellent for this smart phone, offering clear images with a high quality of colors. For multimedia, this Nokia model comes with a 3.2 Megapixel camera capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. This camera comes armed with autofocus and LED flash, so the photos will have a high level of quality. The colors are true and the contrast is excellent. For storing all your files, the E71 has 110 MB of free space, memory which can be extended up to 4 GB with a microSD card slot. A nice feature of this cell phone is that it comes with a pre-installed Symbian operating system which allows you to install almost all your favorite applications. For connectivity, the Nokia E71 cell phone offers many features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, microUSB, GPS, Push-to-Talk and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. Equipped with many powerful features, this handset has also a good battery life. The Li-Po 1500 mAh battery manages to keep the unit on for up to 5 hours of conversations and up to 480 hours in standby mode.
