Nokia Mobile Phone

With the release of the N76, Nokia entered the “slim” mobile phones market having a huge success and being in direct competition with the market symbol: Motorola RAZR. At first look, these two mobile phones have a lot of design similarities. Even if this Nokia mobile phone is very slim, it is part of Nokia N Series, so you can expect it to be a very powerful and high-end technology handset.
The Nokia N76 is a predecessor of the Nokia 6290, being just a bit bigger. The Nokia N76 looks great. It comes with a “clamshell” case made of metal with a nice glossy finish. With 106.5 x 52 x 13.7 mm in dimensions and 115 grams in weight, this mobile phone looks very solid and at the same time, very comfortable. The glossy finish makes this phone very pleasant to the touch even if you will have some problems with the fingerprints which are attracted to it like a magnet. On the external front side, this Nokia Mobile phone comes with a secondary 256K colors display with a native resolution of 160 x 128 pixels and below it, three music player control buttons. On the sides you will notice a microSD card slot, a charging port, a camera shutter, a volume rocker and a Gallery dedicated button. On the top part you will find a miniUSB port, a 3.5 mm audio jack and the Power On/off button.

Another feature which makes this Nokia mobile phone similar to the Motorola RAZR is the numerical pad. Even if this numerical pad is not so easy to use like that of the Motorola, you will be capable to write even if you are not looking at the keys. The keys are flat and offer a great feedback when are pressed. On the other side of the “clamshell” case the internal display is placed. This 2.4 inch QVGA display has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and supports 16 million colors. Above the internal display the Nokia N76 comes with an integrated secondary camera for video calls. This camera can also be used like a mirror or to take portrait pictures. For taking photos at a better quality, it comes with a 2 Megapixel camera placed on the back side. This camera is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. Armed with a LED flash, it makes a good impression even if you want to take photos in a poorly lit room. For storing your pictures or music, the Nokia N76 has 26 MB of internal memory which can be extended up to 2 GB with a microSD card.

Let’s talk about connectivity. At this chapter, the Nokia N76 can disappoint many Nokia N Series fans. If you expect this Nokia mobile phone to come with a lot of high-end connectivity features you will be surprised to see that it lacks Wi-Fi, Infrared and GPS. Even so, it is a Tri-Band device supporting GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G networks. Other included connectivity features are miniUSB, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. The standard Li-Ion 700 mAh battery has proven to be a bit too poor for this cell phone. Capable of keeping this handset on for almost 3 hours of conversations and up to 200 hours in standby mode, it will leave you seriously considering in buying a secondary battery. In conclusion we can say that the Nokia N76 can be a great deal for those who want a mobile phone with a nice design.
