O2 has the exclusivity for the Palm Pre

Weâ€™ve heard so many rumors about the Palm Pre that some of us are already exasperated with the impressive number of discussions that were held in this regard. And, to be honest, I am one of those people, due to the fact that I had to closely follow the subject and present while it was hot to all of those who are interested in such information.

Now let me tell you the latest news about the Palm Pre. It seems that the handset is on the verge of being announced in the United Kingdom. The announcement is to be made sometime during next week by, just like we told you before, by (I hope you hear the beat of drums) O2. The provider is the blessed one that managed to get the exclusivity on the Palm Pre, for a number of markets.

According to The Guardian, the fight was very harsh, and the competitors were O2, on one hand, and Orange, on the other hand. We donâ€™t know what led to the victory of O2, but it seems that this will be the carrier to sell the phone on an exclusive basis.

For the moment, there are no details about the price of the Palm Pre, but we sure hope that weâ€™ll have them at our disposal in the near future.
