The N95 disposable particle respirator is approved by NIOSH as it filters 95% of airborne particles, but it is not resistant to oil. They are not expensive at all, about $13 and they assure your health. It will help you protect yourself from certain particles.
You can use this mask either if you are in a public place and you are afraid of getting some disease from someone who is sneezing or coughing or you can use for protection around the house.

If you are living in a house and you have a garden you must do gardening and sweeping, bagging and so on. To use the respirator you must first remove it from its packaging, open the bottom panels, and then place it on your face with the foam part on your nose and the bottom panel under your chin.
You can adjust the straps so make sure it sits comfortably on your face. Mold the nose are to the shape of your nose using your fingertips. To remove the N95 particulate respirators just put your hand over it and pull down the straps over head by holding the respirator in its position. Just pull the top strap over the head and you can safely remove the respirator.

When you want to dispose it just put it into a garbage can and seal it. Wash your hands using soap or even alcohol if you have been in a contaminated area. Nothing is too much when it comes to your safety. And these N95 respirators have their purpose especially as they were approved by NIOSH.
Diseases like avian or swine flu have been contaminating our areas and as people get desperate it is best to have some respirators around the house for any emergency.
