The LG VX9900 will feature a 262k color (240 x 320 pixels) internal display, a 65k color (128 x 160 pixels) external display, a 2.0 megapixel with autofocus and flash, microSD card slot, MP3/WMA music player, MP4/3GP/WMV video player, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, EV-DO and Infrared.

Verizon Wireless has finally set a price and launch date for the new LG VX9900 smartphone, which will cost $149.99 with a two year contract, $200 with a one-year contract and $320 with no contract. The launch will take hopefully take place on November 27th.

Is this really the Sony Ericsson Ai? I guess we’ll have to wait until the projected release date of early 2007 to find out. The guys at Terminal.hu seem to think this it, offering these hellishly fuzzy cameraphone shots as possible proof. Preliminarily called Ai, it's rumoured to measure 9.4mm in thickness, have a casing constructed from rubberised plastic and aluminium insets, be 3G UMTS compatible and have a 2-megapixel camera.

The upcoming LG C280 is one of the few CDMA cell phones that are boasting a 3 megapixel digital camera. The reason why LG has decided to bring a higher quality CDMA remains a mistery, but this will surely be another reason for one to buy it and enjoy the higher quality snapshots this device will take.

The C280 has a quite reasonable size, measuring only 87.5x44x23 mm and will offer its future users a dedicated music player to enjoy all their favorite songs while on-the-go, a bundle charger and high quality headphones.

Info about the release date or the store price of the LG C280 is not available yet and, until that happens, one can only hope that the rest of its spec sheet will match or even top the digital camera that LG has prepared for all the customers ready to buy this cell phone.

Bright, light, and all right. In a nutshell that's what eg.co.uk thinks of Sagem my600v. They made a review of this phone and here are some of their conclusions.

It is brightly coloured and attractively so. An oystershell white on the back and framing the front is not unpleasant to look at while a strip of deep dark red all around the edges adds a flash of brilliance.

If you want 3G on pay as you talk then this handset is certainly attractively priced. If you hanker for something which is easy to use and not oversized for your pocket then this handset may catch your attention. If you want something which will play your music all day and still allow you to make some phone calls then this handset should be on your shortlist.

But the Sagem my600v is by no means going to please everybody, and the camera is a real let down. Much more so than the lack of two-way video calling which some people may be easily able to live without.

Samsung has finally stopped coming with new and amazing mobile phones that have left us drooling and now has released the Samsung C417 for the people that want a phone with a low-level price justified by a pretty basic set of features.

No problems in this area for this one, because the first thing you can be sure of is that the C417 will not offer you any type of high tech features; so you will be able to enjoy all the goodies with no interference from any kind of advanced digital camera or multimedia player.

The quad-band clamshell will be offered in Canada by Fido at about $25 and the specification sheet mentions a basic VGA camera, wireless Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated web browser, picture messaging and a speakerphone.

So, before making any further decision, think about what you want: a basic featured phone or a high-tech mobile device. If it is the first and you happen to live in Canada, then the C417 is the right choice for you.
