Samsung Smart Phone

In the past years, HTC was the single manufacturer which was capable of offering great smart phones, with a lot of technologies and a powerful operating system.  Because it had no rivals on the market, Samsung Company has decided to launch a new model of smart phone, which promises to be a great opponent to the HTC models. The Moment Samsung smart phone has proven to be one of the best cell phones which Samsung ever made. With a lot of high-end technologies and an excellent design, it is driving customers crazy with joy.

This Samsung smart phone looks almost similarly with other touch-screen mobile phones like Samsung Rogue. But if you look closer, you will see some major differences. The main difference is that it measures 117 x 59 x 16.5 mm in dimensions and a total weight of 161 grams, being very big for a cell phone. The case is made of combination of resistant plastic and soft materials, painted in an attractive color scheme. Even if the Samsung Moment looks very big, thanks to the great design and used materials, it feels very comfortable in your hand or pocket.

Like other smart phones, the Samsung Moment has a 3.2 inch AMOLED touch screen capable of offering you a maximum resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. Even if this display is smaller than the iPhone’s, it supports 16 million colors, so the images will be excellent. For a better quality, this display allows you to adjust the brightness, contrast even the settings of the accelerometer. Because this display occupies almost entire front side, the Samsung Moment has only three touch buttons (Home, Menu and Back), an OK button and the classic Call and End keys.

These keys are large enough and responsive so you can easily navigate in the menu. On the sides, it has a volume rocker, a voice dialing button and a camera shutter, a microUSB port (for charging and connect it with a PC) and a 3.5 mm jack for attaching headphones or other external speakers. For typing, the Samsung Moment has a full QWERTY keyboard. Like other models, this keyboard is very spacious with large and well defined keys. The keys are arranged in four rows and have enough space between them so you can easily write on them without making any mistakes.

This keyboard looks exactly like a PC keyboard. It is composed by number keys which have dedicated buttons, a large spacebar, a set of four arrow buttons and back, return and function keys. For taking photos, this Samsung smart phone has an integrated 3.2 Megapixels camera capable of taking  pictures at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and recording clips at a maximum resolution of 352 x 288 pixels.

For connectivity, the Samsung Moment comes with a lot of high-end features. Being a Quad-Band device, it supports GPRS, EDGE, GSM and 3G. Other connectivity features which this smart phone has are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, USB, Google Talk, PC sync, GPS and a 3.5 mm jack. With all these, you certainly will be able to stay in touch with your friends every time. The internal memory has only 512 MB of free space but you can extend it up to 32 GB with a microSD (TransFlash) card.

The Samsung Moment comes with a standard Li-Ion 1440 mAh battery which is capable of keeping it up for 5.5 hours of conversations and 320 hours in standby mode. Anyway, you will be very satisfied by it if you choose to buy one. For a price of $149, you will have a great Samsung smart phone which will be able to satisfy all your needs.

Nokia 6303 Mobile Phone

If we are allowed a metaphor, we can say that Nokia 6303 mobile phone is one of the phones that will take you from point A to point B without burning tires at traffic lights.  It does exactly what a phone is supposed to do: you use to initiate a voice call, send messages or write emails.

The Nokia 6303 mobile phone has a case made of resistant plastic and a battery cover made of metal. Even if it measures 108.8 x 46.2 x 11.7 mm in dimensions and 96 grams in weight, it feels very solid and comfortable in your hands or pocket. With a case painted in a nice combination of silver and black, and the battery cover made of metal, this phone is given a beautiful business aspect.

On the front side, the Nokia 6303 mobile phone has a 2.2 inch TFT display and for navigation it has two soft buttons, a four-way key and the Call and End buttons. On the sides it has only a volume rocker, a 3.5 mm jack, a charger port and a miniUSB port. The numerical keypad is also another positive aspect of this phone. The keys are large, very responsive and have enough space between them so you can easily press one without accidentally hitting the other.

The Nokia 6303 mobile phone is armed with a 3.2 Megapixels camera which can take photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Typical for Series 40, camera settings are rather limited. Available settings include white-balance, three quality levels from the base to the highest level and different effects.

The sequential shooting can be done in portrait mode and landscape-horizontal-vertical modes. The integrated LED flash is quite inadequate because it is useful only if you take photos of an object which is near you. A negative aspect of this phone is that it lacks a camera shutter, so you will need to use the four-way button.

The pictures have an average quality even if you take photos on an average weather or under sunlight. In terms of video recording, the Nokia 6303 mobile phone manages VGA resolution at 15 fps. The length of 3GP videos is limited only by available memory. Even if the video quality is far from being amazing, VGA resolution is still quite rare.

Connectivity options of Nokia 6303 mobile phone are considered old technology features by current standards. The Nokia 6303 is a Tri-Band (GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) device which has GPRS and EDGE connectivity features. For other kind of connectivity, it has Bluetooth 2.0, mini USB and an integrated micro SD card slot. The music player is also traditional. No doubt it is among the most appreciated applications of Nokia 6303.

It looks great, has many functions including album art and a reasonable number of formats that are supported (MP3, MP4, AMR-NB, WMA, WAV, AAC, eAAC+). The external speaker produces a great quality sound with a loud volume, enough for you to hear the ringtone even if you are somewhere in a public, crowded and noisy space. The standard Li-Ion 1050 mAh battery is capable of keeping this mobile phone up for 7 hours of conversation and up to 450 hours in standby mode.

Nokia 6303 mobile phone is a handset very well balanced in all aspects. It will serve the needs of usual users and do so with grace. The aspects might not be pleasant for everyone, but once you keep it in your hand, the 6303 will start to grow in your eyes, especially as it is framed on a accessible price range. It costs only $137 so pretty much anyone can afford it.

HTC G1 Mobile Phone

The HTC G1 mobile phone is exactly what the name suggests: a Google Phone. Known as the HTC Dream, it may not have the specifications needed to melt the heart of technology enthusiasts, but we believe that the HTC G1 mobile phone will make a good impression, even if it comes wrapped in a newspaper.

G1 is a prudent and conservative approach to introducing a new operating system to the mobile world. While the HTC G1 mobile phone is not, anyway you look at it, a low-end, it somehow deliberately ranks below the current offers of major manufacturers, both in terms of style and the features related to high technology.

With 117 x 55.7 x 17.1 mm in dimensions and 158 grams in weight, the HTC G1 is not the most portable phone that you can imagine. It is slightly larger than, let’s say the Sony Ericsson Xperia, which certainly is not the most compact phone on the market. On the other hand, it is slightly more flexible than the HTC Touch Pro. The HTC G1 has a great design, unlike any other smartphone on the market.

The bottom angle and the slide are the most notable aspects of design. The construction quality phone is quite good, having a case made of plastic which is smooth. On the front side it has a 3.2 inch touch screen and below it only a Menu button, a Back button, a direct navigation button and the Call and End buttons. For typing, the HTC G1 mobile phone has a generous full-QWERTY keyboard. The keys are well-sized, with enough space between them so you can easily write documents, emails or SMS.

The HTC G1 mobile phone is equipped with a 3.2 inch touch screen which is capable of offering a maximum resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Image quality is amazing, with satisfactory levels of contrast and brightness. The 65K colors have a weakness when a single color gradient is shown. In all other aspects of the phone, we can say that it carries out its duties very well. Visibility in sunlight is flawless and the touch screen sensitivity is also very impressive. Even the finest of touches made the desired operation, but the only thing which is lacking from the HYC G1 is handwriting recognition.

When it comes to the camera, we expected mediocre performance, but I was amazed because I have never seen a camera as good as this in any other HTC models. Surprisingly, the G1 offers the best 3 megapixel camera on a smartphone and can compete successfully, and in some cases even overcome sensors from Sony Ericsson mobile phone cameras.

It is capable of taking photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and record clips at a speed of 30 fps. The images are clear and have a great quality of colors. Connectivity is also quite diversified. The HTC G1 mobile phone, being a Quad-Band (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100), offers many features like HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0.

Nokia N80

Nokia is the best cell phone manufacturer, having a huge range of models equipped only with high-end technology. The most appreciated are the cell phones which are part of N Series. The Nokia N80 is one of them. Having a brilliant business aspect and being equipped with many great features and powerful equipment, this cell phone looks beautiful.

Many people say that the Nokia N80 is a big phone. With a slide-up case made of resistant plastic, 95 x 50 x 26 mm in dimensions and 134 grams in weight, it certainly is not one of the slimmest and lightest cell phones made by Nokia. The case is available in two colors: pearl black and smooth stainless steel, colors which make this phone look awesome. On the front side, the Nokia N80 comes equipped with a TFT display and a secondary camera for video calls.

Below the display you will find two soft buttons, Call and End keys, a four-way button, a Pencil button, a Multimedia button, a Menu and a Clear button. On the sides, the Nokia N80 has a loudspeaker, a camera shutter, a Turn On/off button, a miniSD card slot, an Infrared receiver and a Nokia connector (which allows you to charge the phone, connect it to a PC or attach some headphones).

If you slide-up the phone, you will find a numeric keypad which has flat and good-sized keys (even if you will have some problems pressing the “1”, “2” and “3” keys because they are placed too close to the sliding construction). This numerical keypad is very responsive and offers a great typing experience but if you have thick fingers you will need several days to practice on them.

The Nokia N80 comes equipped with a great TFT display with a native resolution of 352 x 426 pixels. Supporting 256K colors, you will receive sharp and vivid pictures with a great balance between contrast and brightness, so it will be visible even if you use the phone under sunlight. On the back side, this cell phone has an integrated 3.2 Megapixels camera which can take photos at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and record clips at a maximum resolution of 352 x 288 pixels. Even if this camera lacks autofocus, it has many other features like LED flash, night mode, sharpness, brightness, color saturation, contrast, white balance and exposure value which help you get great quality pictures.

Powered by a Dual ARM 9 220 MHz processor, 64 MB of RAM and having Symbian OS, Series 60 UI interface, the Nokia N80 will be able to run your tasks without lag or other problems. The internal memory has 40 MB of free space which you can extent to a maximum of 4 GB with a miniSD card. The Nokia N80 is a Quad-Band (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) device and it supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G and UMTS data features.

For connectivity, this mobile phone has WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, Infrared and USB. The external speaker is another great aspect. It produces clear sound and loud volume even if you are in crowded places where cell phone music is unlikely to be heard. The standard Li-Ion 820 mAh battery is capable of keeping this phone on for up to 3 hours of conversations and up to 192 hours in standby mode. Because this battery has small capacity you can extend the cell phone’s life by buying a secondary battery.  Anyway, even if this cell phone is not so great like the Nokia N97 or other top-models, for a price of $299 it can be an excellent deal for you if you choose to buy it.

Nokia 9300

Nokia is the world leader in mobile communications, driving the growth and sustainability of the broader mobility industry. Nokia helps people communicate with one another and it offers easy to use and innovative products like mobile phones, devices and solutions for imaging, games, media and businesses. A new model of cell phone which is designed especially for business people is the Nokia 9300.

The Nokia 9300 has a resistant plastic wide clamshell case which comes painted in silver. With 133 x 51 x 22 mm in dimensions and 169 grams in weight, it is the slimmest Communicator handset which Nokia ever made. If you look at phone, it’s seems like a regular cell phone. On the front side it has a 128 x 128 pixels TFT display which supports 65K colors, two soft keys, a D-Pad controller and a spacious and large numeric keypad. The keys have a great silver finish so you will feel comfortable typing on them. Because the Nokia 9300 lacks external an external volume rocker or other buttons, on the sides you will find only an Infrared port and a USB port.

When the phone is closed, it looks exactly like a large regular phone, but if you open it, you will be surprised. The Nokia 9300 comes with a 4.0 inches TFT display with a native resolution of 640 x 200 pixels. Supporting 65K colors, this beautiful display will offer you great colors with a good balance between contrast and brightness. This wide-screen format is excellent for you to surf on the internet, watch movies or write documents.

But that is not all. Being a Communicator handset, it comes with a full-QWERTY keyboard. With flat and large keys you can easily write emails or other documents but because these keys are a bit piled, you will need some time to get used to them. The keys are very responsive and offer a comfortable typing experience.  The shortcut keys like Desk, Telephone, Messaging, Web, Contacts, Documents, Calendar and My Own plus four keys which are positioned along of display and a thumb-stick directional controller will help you by making your job a lot easier.

Being a business handset, The Nokia 9300 don’t have many multimedia features.  Even if this cell phone is compatible with MPEG4 and 3GPP video formats, it doesn’t have an integrated camera for taking pictures or record clips. Because it is compatible with RealPlayer, it supports many music formats like MP3, MP4, RA and MIDI.  Powered by a TI OMAP 1510 150 MHz processor this handset runs the Symbian OS v7.0s without any lag or other problems. The internal memory has 80 MB of free space for your files but thanks to the MMC card slot, you can extent it to a maximum 4 GB.

In terms of connectivity, the Nokia 9300 is a Tri-Band (GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) device which has the classic GPRS and EDGE data features. Other connectivity features which are present there are Bluetooth 2.0, Infrared and Pop-Port USB. A negative aspect for a Communicator handset like this is that the Nokia 9300 lacks Wireless, 3G and GPS features. The external speaker is great. It produces clear sound with a loud volume. In the standard package, this cell phone comes with a mono headphone but if you want to listen to music with more bass or better sound quality you can buy another set of headphones and attach them to your Nokia.

The Li-Po 970 mAh battery is capable of keeping this cell phone on for 4 hours of conversation and up to 200 hours in standby mode. These values are not the best for a Communicator handset but you can buy a secondary battery and increase cell phone’s life. For a price of $144 you certainly won’t receive a very powerful and high-end technology cell phone, but the Nokia 9300 will satisfy your needs if you are looking for a practical cell phone.
