S8300 Ultra Touch, a new Samsung cell phone announced for MWC2009

Rumors say that Samsung is preparing a wide variety of spectacular cell phones that are to be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2009, but here’s an official information that we are very pleased to tell you about: the S8300 Ultra Touch, which is a new Samsung cell phone that will make its debut in the spotlight of this highly anticipated event.

The device made its appearance at the end of last December and its presence at MWC 2009 has recently been confirmed by Samsung. For those who hoped for the S8300 Ultra Touch to run on platforms like Symbian or Android, I have a pretty bad news, as it will only come with an improved version of the TouchWiz user interface. It’s not a smartphone, guys! Sorry!

The slider Samsung cell phone comes equipped with significant features, such as: a 2.8 inch resistant to scratch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 8 megapixel camera with dual power LED flash and geotagging, GSM / EDGE / HSDPA connectivity, assisted GPS, VGA video recording at 30 frames per second (fps), media player, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM radio with RDS, an internal memory of 80MB and a microSDHC card slot for expanding the capacity storage with no more than 16GB.

The phone measures 100 x 51.5 x 12.7 and there are no details yet as far as the price and availability is concerned. Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about the release date, but the WMC will bring additional information, there’s no doubt about it!
