Samsung Mobile

In our days, a mobile phone without a camera is a big disadvantage. The Samsung Company has created a mobile phone, called Samsung M8800, which has an 8 Megapixel camera for people who like to take clear and great quality pictures anytime. This Samsung mobile is not the first handset with an 8.0 Megapixel camera. Even if the other phones like Samsung 18510 Innov8 or LG Renoir KC910 have the same camera, Samsung M8800 is cheaper than those.

Like the latest mobile phones on the market, this Samsung mobile has a large touch screen which occupies almost the entire frontal face, leaving room only for three buttons: a round back key, call and end. The Samsung M8800 has a plastic case with a black texture which is very resistant against scratches, similar with other models like Omnia i900 or Tocco F480.

With a plastic case, this Samsung mobile has only 122g in weight and 107.9 x 54.6 x 13.8 mm dimensions and we all know that size is an important aspect for a cell phone. On the sides of phone you will find one button which opens a grid of six shortcuts on the display, a volume rocker, a microSD card slot, the camera shutter and a shortcut key for the photo album. On the top you will find the multi-function port, which allows you to attach headphones, connect the charger and to connect the phone to a PC.

The Samsung M8800 is a full touch screen handset. This Samsung mobile has a 3.2 inch display with a native resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The display is very resistant but you get a stylus pen for more protection and accuracy. With a display which supports 262 thousand colors you will be able to watch movies in high quality rendering.

The 8.0 Megapixels camera with Auto-Focus, Dual-LED flash and 16x digital zoom take clear photos even if you are into a dark room. With this camera you can record clips at a maximum resolution of 720 x 480 pixels at a speed of 30 fps. Other features like macro mode shake reduction and smile and face detection help you catch the best pictures ever seen. The internal memory has only 200MB of free space but you can extend it with a microSD card to a maximum of 8GB.

The Samsung M8800 has a Quad-Band platform (850 / 900 / 1,800 / 1,900) with many connectivity options. It supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G and WAP 2.0. Other connectivity features like Bluetooth, Internet HTML browser, TV-output and USB 2.0 makes this handset look more similar to a pocket PC. The big disadvantage is the lack of a Wireless adaptor  because most popular high-technology mobile phones have this feature.

The phonebook supports up to 2000 contacts which can be classified by photo ID or name. The TouchWizz interface is also present making this phone easier to use.  The phone doesn’t lack an accelerometer feature and the basic software like world clock, calendar, calculator, unit converter, voice recorder, timer, RSS reader or FM radio. The media player supports music formats like MP3, AMR-NB, I-Melody, MIDI, AAC, AAC+ and WMA and video formats like MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV and DivX. The sound is pretty loud and if you attach the original headphones you will hear clear music with enough bass.

This Samsung mobile is powered by an 8-cell battery which will keep it up for 240 minutes of talk and 280 hours in standby mode. This is pretty much for a phone which has such a lot of performance. But the most impressive aspect is price. For this mobile phone you need to pay only $555, a price which makes this phone some stiff competition for other brands like Apple or Nokia.
