Small cell phone from Nokia with 5 megapixel camera
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Nokia
If yesterday I was telling you about three new cheap cell phones that Nokia will introduce in emerging markets, now it’s time for me to announce you that there’s another handset expected to hit the market in the next couple of months.
This time, we’re talking about a small cell phone, actually the smallest slider designed by Nokia with a 5 megapixel camera, called Nokia 6600i, which is more advanced than the other three. If the name rings a bell to all of you, it’s because the 6600 slide version was launched back in 2008 (no more than a year ago).
The main difference between the two models consists of the fact that the new one comes with a 5 megapixel camera equipped with dual flash, compared to the 3.2 megapixel one that you can find on the board of the previous version.
If you want to know what Nokia thinks about this handset, then you should know that the Finnish company considers it to be “the smallest 5 megapixel slider to dateâ€, which means it’s not just a small cell phone, like I said. The design is a little bit modified, because the phone couldn’t have been released with the same outfit and the same features, with the difference consisting of the camera only.
The 6600i slider won’t be as cheap as those three I mentioned earlier, but it’s quite affordable, as it is expected to cost no more than 200 Euros, meaning $271. As for the availability, you’ll be able to purchase the phone starting the third quarter of this year, being shipped along with a 1GB card and the WH-203, which is a stereo headset with FM radio.
