Smartphones and BlackbBerry

Smartphones are those advanced mobile phones on which you can manage even computing tasks. They have wireless internet, high resolution cameras, touch screens, GPS, Bluetooth, large internal memory and so on. On the other hand, BlackBerry mobile phones are mostly oriented towards business features, with strong messaging and e-mail capabilities. You will often see a businessman having a BlackBerry rather than a smartphone, because it offers instant syncing with corporate e-mail and it makes everything easier. Smartphones are more for consumers who want to have the latest gadget and who just want to have fun with games, install applications, and chat with friends, access social network applications and so on. This is why smartphones and BlackBerry phones are different.
But recently, BlackBerry has developed some smartphones of its own, with touch screens, Wi-Fi, GPS, multimedia features, 3G and the same e-mail support and possibility to open, edit and even create Office documents. If you can’t decide on a mobile phone, it is best to make a list with what you expect from one. smartphones run on various operating systems, such as Windows Mobile, Android, iOS, Symbian and so. The OS affects the phone’s features and provides access to applications and games. Some of them even support multi-touch capabilities and have multiple home screens among you can switch. Every OS has its own application store, including BlackBerry with its BlackBerry App World.

When it comes to BlackBerry OS, you can still manage multiple tasks at once and because it uses less power than other mobile phones, the battery life is longer and the features are oriented towards messaging capabilities. BlackBerry Storm, Torch and Bold are the touch screen phones of the company. The Storm has no physical keyboard and makes it a bit hard to type messages, but Torch and Bold have QWERTY keyboards, providing users the familiar experience with a physical keyboard. And this is what made BlackBerry popular in the first place, the keyboard. But as accessing the internet and e-mail are among the features every user is interested in, most smartphones and BlackBerry phones need a data plan. Even though Wi-Fi is present and you can browse the internet freely, you still need extra services for data and e-mail while you are not in a hot spot area. So it figures, if you need a mobile phone to keep up with your active life, to have a large touch screen so you can play games and manage applications, to watch videos, to access social network websites and so, then a smartphone is what you need. But if you are in need of a strong messaging device that combines some of the features mentioned above and strong e-mail, then don’t hesitate and get a BlackBerry.

The mobile technology has evolved greatly over the time and it is hard to pick out a phone these days. That is why you do a lot of research in advanced, read out reviews and statements, user comments, just to get a second opinion and see which device is better suited for your needs. BlackBerry has been on the market for quite a while and it has these features that don’t go wrong no matter what. Even Obama uses a BlackBerry phone, so that should mean something, right?
