Sony Ericsson C510 going to Canada?
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Sony Ericsson
I’m aware of the fact that Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot is not the latest Sony Ericsson that can be found right now on the market, but it doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be excited about the availability of the handset in different countries from all over the world. Not to mention that the C510 is still a new device, of 2009, as it was announced at the beginning of this year, sometimes in January.

It seems that the North American version of the phone in discussion, which is called Sony Ericsson C510a, has made its appearance on the official website of Sony Ericsson Canada, which makes the rumor to be quite… official, if I may say so.
Due to the fact that the C510 is a GSM/HSDPA device, we are entitled to believe that it’s going to become available via Rogers, which is the only GSM Canadian operator.
If you forgot the list of features, allow me to refresh your memory: a 2.2 inches TFT display with 262k colors and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, which is also resistant to scratches, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, face detection (which isn’t a novelty when it comes to Sony Ericsson Cyber-shots), geotagging and a LED flash, Bluetooth 2.0, Access NetFront browser, email, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Google Maps, auto-rotation, a media player and FM radio with RDS, illuminated imaging shortcuts, an internal memory of 100MB (a little bit disappointing) and a memory stick Micro M2 card slot for expandable memory of no more than 8GB.
The phone measures 107 x 47 x 12.5 millimeters and weighs approximately 92 grams. Unfortunately, the release date is still unknown for the moment, and the price too, but taking into consideration the fact that the C510 is being sold in Europe for approximately €200 (meaning $272), it shouldn’t be an expensive handset when released in Canada.
