Posted by: Vlad Balan in Sony Ericsson

According to a recent announcement, Sony Ericsson has more than doubled its profits mainly due to the increasing popularity of its camera phones and music handsets. With 21.8 million handsets sold (47 percent more than last year), Sony Ericsson had an 145 million Euro jump (from 109 million Euro recorded last year to 254 million Euro). This makes Sony Ericsson the fourth world mobile phones producer, right after Samsung.
"Guilty" for the company's success are the two successful Walkman and CyberShot product lines. Sony Ericsson has a lot of quality handsets, especially music and camera phones, which, though slightly expensive deserve every penny. However, the company it trying to expand it's low-budget line, by associating with Sagem.
