Sony Ericsson is a joint venture company made in 2001 when the Japanese company of consumer electronic products Sony joined with the Swedish telecommunications company – Ericsson. They had join their forces in order to combine the expertise in consumer electronic products of Sony with the technological leadership in the sector of communications of Ericsson and make some of the best mobile phones in the world. Each company stopped making their own cell phones, so that they can produce only Sony Ericsson phones.

But they don’t make just phones, they also produce: mobile music devices, wireless systems, wireless voice devices, Hi Tech accessories and wireless data devices. The headquarters is located in London, United   Kingdom but since it is a multinational company it operates in many other countries all over the world. In 2009 it was the 4^th largest producer of mobile phones in the world, after Nokia, Samsung and LG.
