Sony Ericsson MS500 outdoor wireless speaker
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Sony Ericsson
It’s been a while since we last heard something about Sony Ericsson, compared to other famous cell phones manufacturers that are always ready to give us a reason to write about them. But it’s time for us to focus on the Swedish-Japanese company for a moment and tell you about their decision to expand the line-up of accessories with the relealse of the MS500.

The MS500 is the company’s first outdoor wireless speaker, working on Bluetooth connectivity. The device measures no more than 113 x 83 x 45 millimeters (meaning approximately 4.4 x 3.3 x 1.8 inches) and weighs 155 grams, being not only small, but also lightweight. This means you’ll never have a problem with carrying it around all the time.
The speaker is designed to be used in an outdoor environment and there’s no doubt about it. This is why it’s covered by a shell resistant to splashes and comes with a handy strap. The great thing about the MS500 is the fact that you can use it with the Sony Ericsson model that you might already own, as long as it’s compatible with Bluetooth with A2DP, but you can also use with phones coming from other brands. In addition, the cell phone can be used as a remote control for this new outdoor wireless speaker. All you have to do is to maintain a distance of no more than 10 meters.

The device comes with 2 AA batteries that are said to provide up to 5 hours of playback time. We know that the MS500 will be available in two color combinations: orange with black and white with pink, but, unfortunately, we don’t know yet when it will hit the market nor under what price.
