Because in these days, many people are interested in business devices, Sony Ericsson has launched another P Series model, a smartphone which is designed to satisfy all your most demanding needs. This model is known as the Sony Ericsson P1i and even if it is not so popular like Nokia E72 or Nokia E80, it will make you to think twice about buying a business smartphone. Like all business devices, the Sony Ericsson P1i comes with many accessories. The retail package includes a charger, a headset, a USB cable a desk-charger, a leather cover and a hand strap.

The Sony Ericsson P1i has a design almost similar to the M600, with a similar candy-bar case, a touch screen and a generous QWERTY keyboard. The case is made of resistant plastic which measuring 106 x 55 x 17 mm in dimensions and 124 grams in weight, proves to be very comfortable and portable. The nice silver finish makes the phone look solid and compact. The front side of the unit is occupied by a 2.6 inch TFT resistive touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard. The display has a native resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and supports up to 256K colors. So, the images will have a great quality of colors, a good contrast and the screen remains visible even if you are planning to use the phone under direct sunlight. The QWERTY keyboard is also spectacular. The keys are large and flat, very responsive and offer a positive feedback when they are pressed.



Being made of resistant plastic, these keys will offer you a comfortable writing experience making you fall in love with sending messages from this phone. Above the display you can see there is a secondary camera for video-calls and an ear-speaker. On the sides of the phone you will notice a stylus pen slot, a scrolling wheel, a Back key, a camera shutter, a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot, a Browser button plus a Power On/off button and a pop-port for charging the phone, attaching headphones or connecting it to a PC via USB.



For multimedia functions, the Sony Ericsson P1i comes with an integrated 3.2 Megapixel camera capable of taking pictures at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and recording VGA clips at a speed of 15 fps. This camera is armed with autofocus, LED flash plus many other functions, all being designed to help you take great quality pictures every time. The P1i also supports many songs and videos formats so you can listen to your favorite music or watch movies anytime. For storing all your files this smartphone comes with 160 MB of internal memory and a M2 card slot which allows you to extend the memory up to 4 GB. For connectivity, the P1i comes with all high-end features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB and support for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G. The only feature which is missing on this smartphone is the GPS support, but this will not be an important negative aspect. The battery life of the phone is quite poor. The standard Li-Po 950 mAh battery manages to keep the unit on for 3 hours and 30 minutes of conversations (3G) and up to 350 hours in standby mode (3G).
