Announced at the same time with the G502, Sony Ericsson Z780 is one of the most affordable HSDPA cell phones coming from the world leading manufacturer, with features destined to satisfy the needs of people outside Europe.

The tri-band cell phone provides Internet access, email messaging capability, Instant Messaging, 3G connectivity and HSPA transfer speeds with a stylish clamshell model that also comes with Google Maps which shows the satellite view of areas and lists location reviews with ratings so you can choose the best restaurant or hotel where to spend your time.
Other features of the Sony Ericsson Z780 include aGPS, turn-by-turn directions, Exchange ActiveSync for security, RSS feeds, weather forecast application, WEB 2.0 support, and picture/video blogging.

It works on UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 and GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks, and brings Bluetooth connectivity with A2DP, a media player with bass enhancements, 3D games, FM radio, a built-in 2MP camera with 2.5x digital zoom, video recording capability, the Access NetFront browser, sound recording, modem, USB mass storage, Flight Mode, and 35MB phone memory with the possibility to add extra storage via a Memory Stick Micro card.

Sony Ericsson Z780 sports a main 2.2-inch TFT LCD display of 262K colors, with an external monochrome screen of 36 x 128 pixels, and allows you to talk for up to 9.5 hours.
It will be available in second quarter this year in Grand Onyx and Amethyst Silver colors.
