Sophisticated Sony Ericsson slider

I had enough with the impressive amount of new about HTC and their popular handset, the Magic, which is expected to be the handset to crown the hard working and incredible efforts. I guess I told you before about HTC’s big summer plans according to which more than 1 million units of the Magic are to shipped in the next months.

So let’s try to focus our attention on something else, because I don’t think I’d have a very peaceful reaction if I had to write again about HTC and their latest accomplishments.
It seems that Sony Ericsson has just announced a brand new device, the so-called T715 which is presented by the company as a sophisticated Sony Ericsson slider to help you become a very organized person, with so many features like direct reminders of the appointments you have during the day, notes and special animation that are all designed to remind you of important dates such as global events or birthdays.

There will be two different versions of the slider: the T715 with quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and HSPA 2100 and the T715a which comes with support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and HSPA 850/1900/2100.

The complete list of features includes: a 2,2 inches TFT display with a QVGA resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and 262,144 colors, a 3.2 megapixel camera with 3.2x digital zoom and video recording capabilities, media player, TrackID and PlayNow, Access NetFront web browser, Google Search, speakerphone and video calling, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Instant Messaging, 3D games, FM radio with RDS, YouTube support, Google Maps and geo-tagging, Bluetooth technology and USB.

“The T715 is a sophisticated slider mobile phone that fits a busy lifestyle and is perfect for those who are looking for a phone with practical and up-to-date featuresâ€, said Quentin Cordier, the Marketing Business Manager at Sony Ericsson. “Building on our current 3G portofolio, the T715 allows us to bring 3G mobile phones to even more markets giving them high speed internet access wherever they are. With a premium brushed aluminum cover and glossy front, this new mobile demonstrates the sophisticated design language consumers have come to expect from Sony Ericssonâ€.

The phone has an internal memory of 90MB, but there’s the possibility for you to increase it using a SanDisk microSD. The new Sony Ericsson slider measures 91.5 x 48 x 14.9 millimeters and weighs approximately 96.5 grams. It is equipped with a battery that provides up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 400 hours of stand-by time on GSM/GPRS, 4 hours of talk time and 350 hours of stand-by time on UMTS, and no more than 3 hours of video call time.
The T715 is expected to become available sometime during the third quarter in two different colors: Galaxy Silver and Rouge Pink, but the price is still unknown.
