Motorola Renegade V950

Yet another cell phone with the Push-to-Talk technology enabled, coming from Sprint. Its name is Motorola Renegade aka Motorola V950 and is a rugged handset. The PTT feature enables you to call a group of users simultaneously without requiring several phone calls to be performed.
Despite its rugged capability, Motorola Renegade is a slim handset with a clamshell design, but that features dust, shock, vibration and blowing resistance because it was developed according to the Military specifications 810F.

In addition to the PTT technology, it supports Sprint’s Mobile Broadband connectivity for high transfer speeds, as well as communication with up to 20 other subscribers using PTT-enabled handsets, via the Group Connect service.
Field workers can download music over-the-air, listen to their favorite tunes via Sprint Radio with over 100 radio stations, watch Sprint TV with CBS, ABC, CNN and other channels, as well as send and receive emails with pictures and videos.

For finding the shortest and safe routes to the destination, Sprint Navigation adds turn-by-turn directions with clear 3D maps, while the NFL Mobile Live, a new service launched recently by the telecommunication company, gives access to live audio/video stream of 8 NFL Network games.
The Bluetooth sends files wirelessly to another enabled cell phone, and other features of the Sprint new phone include a built-in 2MP camera with camcorder, 4x zoom and flash, mobile email, instant messaging, and the Sprint Mobile Sync for online group management.

The price set for the Sprint new phone is of $129.99 with a 2-year agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate.

Nextel Direct Connect is critical to Sprint's position as the dominant player in the push-to-talk and GPS solution categories," said Danny Bowman, president of Nextel Direct Connect for Sprint. "Sprint is committed to Nextel Direct Connect and will continue to expand capabilities and options for our customers. With the addition of the Renegade V950, Sprint customers have another rough and tumble handset delivering the fastest national push-to-talk network matched with Sprint's largest voice calling area and the nation's largest mobile broadband network so they can do even more, faster."
