Posted by: Maria Mihale in Nokia
When a cell phone manufacturer wants to make things according to their plans and expectations, a very good idea is for them to sign as many agreements as possible with important providers from all over the world. Because, after all, is in their hands to promote and distribute the products, and to make them so well known that customers will always come after them.

Nokia understands the importance of such agreements, so it has just signed one with Telefónica Spain, having as a main purpose the introduction of the Nokia Messaging email service in Spain. The provider will not be the first one to do this, but among the first anyway, as this solution isn’t yet widespread in the market. This is an attempt to continue the investments plans aimed at developing the mobile Internet in Spain.
The service was designed in such way to simplify the use of email, providing and easy access and the use of more than just one email account. The push technology gets you delivered with your emails to your mobile phone.
“With this service, Nokia and Telefónica aim to respond to the growing consumer demand to be able to access their email accounts directly on the Nokia device whenever they want, wherever they want. In Spain, there are more than 15 million active personal email accounts, so there is tremendous potential for the number of users that can leverage this serviceâ€, said Marieta del Rivero, General Manager, Nokia Iberia. In addition, she said that “the objective is to bring mobile email to the masses and make it accessible to the largest number of users possibleâ€.
Spanish customers will be able to choose from a wide variety of Nokia devices based on the S60 platform.
