The new Hitachi W53H CDMA Phone with TV Tuner

The new Hitachi W53H has been added by the Japanese mobile carrier KDDI.

The CDMA model shows a 2.8 inch OLED WQVGA screen with a 240 x 400 pixels resolution, and, as you can see in the picture, it has a dual-axial hinge allowing the phone to be twisted at 360 degrees.


The most important feature of the W53H, is the One Seg digital TV tuner, which supports EPG (Electronic Program Guide), a guide to television programs, that permits the user to navigate through programs and select what he/she wants, using criteria like title, channel, time and genre, all these with the use of the keypad.

The GPS navigation system, the Media player, the SD card slot for up to 2GB external memory and the Infrared support, are the main features of this beautiful model.
And let’s not forget about the 2MP built-in camera.

The availability of the phone will start in December in Japan, at a price of just $85.
