The Nokia touchscreen phones and their new handsome brother
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Nokia
Nokia has accustomed us with impressive concept phones that are designed to amaze everyone not only with the silhouette, but also with stunning features lists. This is why people are always anxious to see devices conceived by the Finnish company, as they’re never as far as the expectations are concerned.

It’s been quite a while since the last good-looking concept phone was seen “in the marketâ€, but it’s for the Nokia 5900 Monoir to make its entrance and catch everyone’s attention. Created by Hungarian designer András Nemes, who names the Monoir his “first reference designâ€.
Based on the Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system, the Monoir comes very well equipped, with features like a 3.5 inch TFT LCD 16:9 touchscreen display with 16M color and a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and VGA video recording capabilities (at 30 frames per second), a dual band 3G with HSDPA support, a quad band GSM support, Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS receiver, Nokia Maps 2.0 Touch, FM radio with RDS, TV out, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a very good audio quality ensured by Dolby Mobile, Bluetooth connectivity and USB v2.0.

But that’s not all, so that you know, because there are some good things hidden under the case, such as an ARM 11 369 MHz processor and 1GB of SDRAM memory. In addition, for those who never have enough space to store their files, there’s a microSD card support. The good news is that the phone comes with an 8GB card included.

The device can make other Nokia touchscreen phones be ashamed, because the features list doesn’t end here. There’s a landscape on-screen virtual QWERTY keyboard and, for those who are games addicts, the accelerometer sensor can help them automatically rotate the user interface.
Too bad the Monoir is just a concept for the moment, but we’d really love to see this touchscreen phone hitting the market in the near future.
