Two Android cell phones for the Canadians
Posted by: Maria Mihale in HTC
If you are a Canadian and you felt like being neglected when it came to the so very acclaimed Android cell phones, then you have many reasons to be jolly, because Rogers Communications has a pretty good news for you.

You have two reasons to be jolly, to be more precise, because instead of only one Android smartphone, you’ll be blessed with two such devices, both coming from HTC. The Canadian provider has done it and the introduction of the HTC Dream (which you might know under the name of T-Mobile G1) and the HTC Magic (which is also referred to as MyTouch 3G) is now official.
The Dream is the world’s first Android-based handset, while the Magic is the second. They are quite different, not only as far as the design is concerned, but also when it comes to the QWERTY keyboard. The Dream has a hardware one, but the Magic, on the other hand, lacks this feature. Hopefully, as it will come with the Android 1.5, the Magic will be provided with a virtual QWERTY keypad.
As for the availability of these tow Android cell phones in the Canadian market, June 2nd is said to be the day, the holy day. Starting June 2nd, they will be exclusively sold by Rogers, under unknown prices for the moment.
