Sprint today began running ads for a new high end clamshell phone which they claim is the thinnest available in the country. The Samsung M610 looks very similar to the 9.9mm thick Ultra Edition launched in Asia earlier this year. Like the Ultra Edition, the phone is shown to have a large color internal display and a small monochrome exterior screen.

Sprint's teaser campaign reveals the Samsung M610 has EV-DO high speed data, a 2 Megapixel camera, Micro SD slot and Sprint's full Power Vision Service including Sprint TV. Updated: The M610 is now available for purchase through Sprint's business site. Further information reveals the phone also has Bluetooth, a QVGA screen and is 12mm thick.
