Verizon to launch Shock And Water Resistant G’zOne Type-V Phone




Verizon g'zOne Type-V PhoneToday Verizon Wireless and UTStarcom announced the pending launch of the G'zOne Type V handset, exclusive to Verizon. The tank-like G'zOne Type V, designed to be rugged on the outside and provide equally solid performance on the inside, is targeted at the mobile outdoor enthusiast - men and women alike.

The G’zOne Type-V passed all of the following tests, performed in accordance with Military Standards 810°F, with all ports (battery, headset and charging) on the phone closed and the antenna secured. The tests include Water Resistance test, Immersion test, Humidity test, Salt Fog test, Drop test, Vibration test and Dust Resistance test.

The G'zOne is a powerhouse on the inside as well. The device comes equipped with a built-in 2 megapixel camera that allows users to take photos and record video while on the go. The device supports Verizon's V Cast, Get It Now, and VZ Navigator services. Mobile users will appreciate the handsfree options the G'zOne offers, such as an integrated speakerphone and voice activated dialing. Additionally, you can surf the Internet, check email, and instant message friends with the G'zOne's Mobile Web 2.0 application. The device's Li-Ion Battery should be good for up to 3.25 hours of talk time or 7 days of standby time.

The G'zOne Type V handset will be available online starting tomorrow, October 20 at www.verizon.com for US$299.99 with a new two-year service agreement and will become available on October 23 in Verizon Wireless Communications stores nationally.
