Video calling application based on infrared rays
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Samsung
The video calling capabilities are quite important these days, when more and more people are interested in having the most innovative feature-rich handsets, to help them do their things in the most effective way possible.

But it is kind of difficult for someone to make a video call when the sun goes down and there is no light involved. And it seems that Samsung is trying to somehow taking care of this problem, as it is ready to release a brand new handset that is said to give the user the possibility to make a video calls in the absence of light.
The phone is going to be called Samsung SCH-W760 and will come in the shape of a slider that has a video calling application based on infrared rays. This way, the person who use won’t need to turn on the lights in order to make a video call. The only problem with this innovation is that the images won’t be color, so you’ll have to content yourselves with black and white.
But I hope you didn’t think that the infrared technology is the only feature that one can find within this phone. There are also a 2.8 inch AMOLED display, a 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, a music player for music addicts, mobile printing and a flashlight.
Even if it doesn’t have the most impressive design ever, the phone is highly expected due to its video calling application. It’s just that the Samsung W760 won’t be available in other countries except South Korea, where it will be sold via SK Telecom, under a price that is still unknown.
