WebOS 1.0.4 for the PPP
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Palm
Don’t let the three Ps mislead you. PPP isn’t the same thing as the four Ps that you might know from your marketing classes when you learned about the marketing mix and the four elements it consists of: the product, the price, the place and the promotion.

And if you take into consideration the WebOS, you will surely realize that PPP has something to do with the Palm Pre phone. Exactly, you got it right!
The webOS 1.0.3 has just been released (it was ten days ago when the operating system hit the market) and here we have a brand new version, the webOS 1.0.4 firmware, which is especially designed for the new Palm Pre phone.
Compared to the previous update, this one wasn’t meant to come with more and more applications. It seems that the purpose was to address “several security issues with Palm webOS softwareâ€. Another change refers to the fact that users will no longer be able to install the so-called homebrew applications (also known as unsigned apps), once they have their Palm Pre updated with the webOS 1.0.4.
This firmware update is available for an automatic download that can be done over the air, but if you like, you can check for it manually. The only thing you should do is to just open Updates.
The Palm Pre phone (the PPP) is currently available in the United States via Sprint, but it will soon become available in Canada and some European countries.
