BlackBerry has developed a lot of mobile phones over the years and because the market is filled with smartphones and this is what users want, then the company created some advanced devices of its own. What’s the brand new BlackBerry? The company has been busy recently designing touch screen phones with plenty of features and capabilities. It started to add specs that are needed by users these days and tried its best to manage to satisfy both business and consumer sectors. So let’s see the two models of BlackBerry phones that have been released recently: BlackBerry Torch 9850 and BlackBerry Bold 9930.

BlackBerry Torch 9850 is looking sharp, offering dual-mode functionality, 720p HD video playback and good quality camera. When it comes to looks, angles are sharp and it has a black and glossy front, framed in silver along the back and the sides. The back cover is smooth thanks to the soft-touch, all leading to high comfort when the phone is held in your hands or at your ear. Without doubts, this is one of the best looking BlackBerry phones. The touch screen has 3.7”, WVGA and a pixel resolution of 800x480, supporting 16 million colors. Even in direct sunlight, the screen does not reflect glare and the viewing angles are pretty good, you should be able to manage e-mailing no matter what. Above the screen you will see a LED indicator glowing red when you get a new message and on the top is the lock button. Below the screen you will see five raised buttons. The phone runs on BlackBerry OS 7, with Liquid Graphics display and among the other features, worth mentioning is the voice-activated universal search. This Torch lacks a physical keyboard, but the virtual one is pretty good. It helps you breeze through your e-mails and messages and it does a good job suggesting corrections and replacements.

Let’s move on to another touch screen phone, BlackBerry Bold 9930. This one was launched about the same time as the previous model, so that is why we are taking them together. Both are different, so they are worth seeing. The Bold 9930 has a very well made thin and wide design, stunning graphics are provided, physical QWERTY keyboard that is one of the best, 720p HD video recording, runs on BlackBerry OS 7 and has also a 1.2 GHz processor. What makes this phone so special is design; if you look at it from the front you might not notice something out from the ordinary, but it is made out of high-quality plastic and solid stainless steel helps the outer frame. The soft-touch on the back gives it a nice feel and the battery cover is glossy. The 2.8” touch screen boosts a resolution of 640x480 and the OS 7 comes with improvements, including animations. The keyboard of the Bold is top-notch. It is wide, spacious and keys are tall and large, being raised above the surface, resulting in a fast and comfortable typing. Another feature worth mentioning is the NFC support. This means you can buy products and services just by swapping your phone over a payment system. It is nice to see that BlackBerry is trying hard to come up with new technologies.
