Xenium X700, just another Philips phone

There are just a couple of days since I told you about the Xenium X530, the latest Philip phone released in the market, and I already found another device, also Philips branded, to present to you. The X530 is, as I told you before, an entry-level handset equipped with a very powerful battery, which is, after all, the characteristic that one can find on each and every phone that is part of the Xenium family.

Now, this one, on the other hand, is a clamshell called Xenium X700 and comes with the most common disadvantage of the Philips phones, the lack of the 3G connectivity, which means that data transfers will be based only on GPRS and EDGE.

The new Philips phone comes with the following features: quad band GSM connectivity, a 2.4 inch TFT internal display with 262k colors and a resolution of 240x320 pixels, a 2.0 inch TFT external display, which is a QVGA one, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, music player, video player and FM radio with RDS. It measures approximately 103 x 54 x 15 millimeters.

As for the advantages, the most important is undoubtedly the powerful battery, which is something like a leit motif of the Xenium family. Therefore, the battery provides up to 450 minutes of talk time and no more than 720 hours of stand-by time.

If you’re curious about the availability, let me tell you that the Xenium X700 is expected to hit the Chinese market pretty soon and the European also, in countries like Romania, Russia and Turkey, with a retail price of $220.
